"I see therapy as an art form"...

Hi! I’m Lisa.

I'm a mental health counselor with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, committed to helping you heal so that you can live a happier, healthier life.

As a mother of four – ranging from teen to young adult – and a wife of 30+ years, I’m well aware of the challenges it takes to keep a family thriving. To have patience. To do the hard work. When to say yes. When to say no. To prioritize help when it’s offered. And to take time for self-care and healing, especially when it keeps me away from a fifth cup of coffee.

LISTENING TO and HELPING OTHERS has always come NATURAL TO ME.

As my kids grew and became more independent, I was drawn to counseling. I had experienced my fair share of hardships, especially raising teens in a smart phone culture, and I wanted to help others cope with the life’s ever-shifting challenges.

I’m drawn to psychotherapy because it works. The narratives we tell ourselves not only impact our mental health and well-being but also the well-being of those around us. Small changes in thinking can make BIG progress in living.

Art is my passion and I see therapy as an art form – needing the right blend of self-discovery and professional guidance to turn something messy into something beautiful. This concept birthed my business: ART OF WELLNESS.

When I’m not working… I’m either sipping coffee with a good book or painting with watercolors or enjoying a delectable meal with my family or getting my hands and knees dirty in my garden!

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Warmly,

                 Lisa
